Group of Azerbaijan`s peacekeeping force returns from Afghanistan

Baku, April 10 (AzerTAc). A group of Azerbaijani soldiers serving in Afghanistan has returned to the country. Thirty four soldiers of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces served as part of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF) on a rotation basis, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said. Azerbaijan joined ISAF on November 20, 2002. The Azerbaijani peacekeeping contingent in Afghanistan doubled in 2009, numbering 94 servicemen now.
