Guinea to Establish Partnership with Malaysian Training Institute in Human Capital Development

KUALA LUMPUR, June 28 (Bernama) -- Guinea will establish a partnership with the National Institute of Public Administration (Intan) in human capital development, especially among public service personnel. Guinea President Alpha Conde said the prospect can be developed through the partnership with Intan, which is the premier public sector training institution in Malaysia and plays a leading role in transforming Malaysia's public sector leadership. "I hope this partnership can be developed as we can help each other to better improve public service personnel leadership through Intan's various training and development activities. "We also expect to exchange our administrator with Intan trainers in helping our country to strengthen the delivery capabilities, share knowledge and skills," he said at a briefing by Intan here on Wednesday. Also present were Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Jamil Khir Baharom and Intan Director Dr Aminuddin Hassim. Meanwhile, Aminuddin hoped Intan can assist Guinea in providing their public service personnel with the necessary attitude, skills, knowledge and expertise. "Our role is providing training and research in public administration, becoming referral centre, advisory to the government and registrar or coordinator for all Malaysian Public Training Institutes. "To do this effectively, we will really like to partner other institutions locally and internationally and welcome suggestions to develop partnership," he said. Conde, on his maiden visit to Malaysia, is here on a four-day official visit beginning Tuesday. -- BERNAMA
