Gulf 25/ Qatar Squad's Coach, Bahrain Confrontation, Different, Victory over Kuwait, Gave Huge Encouragement

Basra, January 09 (QNA) - Qatar National Team's Portuguese coach Bruno Miguel Pinheiro confirmed that tomorrow's confrontation against the Bahraini team will be different from the opening match of the Arabian Gulf Cup (Gulf 25), noting at the same time that victory over the Kuwaiti team gave Qatari team a great moral boost before the match tomorrow. Pinheiro said in a statement during the pre-match press conference today that the Qatari team performed well in the first round against Kuwait, despite finishing the game with a tie, the coach remarked that the Bahraini national team is homogeneous and has a good coach who has been supervising it for a long time. The Qatar national team coach pointed out that matches are held within a short time interval, leaving little time to prepare, mostly limited to recovery, indicating that he has watched some videos of the opposing team to facilitate him to explaining tomorrow's match’s tactics and method to be followed. Pinheiro stated that winning in the first match does not mean qualifying, thus, the team is very occupied with tomorrow's match against Bahrain. The Portuguese Coach expressed his happiness to be in Iraq, saying that the squad has the fans' support, which aids its performance, concluding by thanking Iraqi fans who supported the Qatari national team in the first match.
