Gulf private sector' role in economic development highlighted

Manama, Apr. 30 (BNA): Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, in a statement, welcomed the visit of GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani to Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), which reflects the GCC leaders keenness to bolster integration and economic interdependence among Gulf countries. The minister attached great importance to the role of the Gulf private sector in promoting the Gulf economic development march. He highlighted Bahrain’s interest in supporting the private sector, as it is the main locomotive of the national economy. He extended thanks to HM the King and government for the generous support offered to the private sector to boost cooperation among GCC countries, as well as magnifying its role in the social and economic development march in line with Bahrain’s economic vision 2030.
