Hat Yai Hard Sale event to be held in September

SONGKHLA, Aug 15 (TNA) -- Shops, services and hotels in the commercial hub of southern Thailand offer big discounts for tourists during Hat Yai Hard Sale 2018. From September 1, participating businesses including shopping malls, hotel and retail stores will offer big discounts for tourist in the annual tourism promotion campaign run for the third time this year. Songkhla Chamber of Commerce president Kawispong Sirithananonsakul said the month-long campaign was listed on a national tourism calendar, aiming to attract tourists from around the country and the globe to enjoy shopping and services offered at reduced prices. As September was normally low-season for tourism, the campaign was meant to give the city a big boost, he said. He said participating Chamber’s members would begin giving out 30-70 percent discount after an official launch set of September 1. (TNA)
