Hats off to gourmet Abu Dhabi as annual culinary festival opens in Red Carpet style

Abu Dhabi (WAM): The UAE capital rolled out the red carpet at the beachfront Falcon Law of the five-star Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, for the Gala Opening of its annual Gourmet Abu Dhabi culinary festival which runs across more than 20 of the city's finest restaurants until February 19. The opening - now established as one of the most glamorous events on Abu Dhabi's social calendar - was attended by the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi), Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority who welcomed nine of the event's star-studded masterchef cast. The culinary roll call included the USA's Christopher Kostow; Italy's Marco Sacco; South Korea's Edward Kwon; Australia's Russell Blaikie; Denmark's Henrik Yde Andersen; Britain's Michael Caines; India's Sanjeev Kapoor; French master patissier, Fabrice David and the UAE's very own celebrity Chef Khulood Atiq. Together the culinary line up delivered a ‘hats off’ salute to the event which has been ranked by the Sydney Morning Herald metropaper as amongst the world's Top Six gourmet festivals. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
