Health Minister meets WHO consultants

Manama, Nov. 17 (BNA): Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh - in the presence of the Health Ministry's Undersecretary, Dr. Ayesha Mubarak Bu Enq - met a delegation of consultants from the World Health Organisation (WHO), namely Dr. Martha Evrard and Dr. Christine Leopold, on the side-lines of their participation in the National Strategic Workshop for Rationalisation of Health Expenditure. The minister welcomed the delegation and praised the ongoing cooperation between the Kingdom and the WHO in the field of health. The WHO supports the activities, workshops and events organised by the Ministry in the Kingdom. The minister also praised the WHO efforts and expressed gratitude and appreciation to the consultants who participated in the workshop and also commended the continuous support and efforts of WHO experts to boost regional and international cooperation and coordination regarding important health issues and challenges. The delegation expressed gratitude and appreciation of the ministry for the hospitality and welcoming reception, at the same time praising the standard of health functions organised in Bahrain as well as the exchange of expertise and viewpoints regarding the quality of health care. Anissa Saad Al-Howaihi the Director of PR and International Relations; and, management expert Badriya Jassim Kuwaiti, attended the meeting between the Minister and the WHO consultants.
