HH Shaikh Isa Bin Ali Voluntary Work Award's role praised

Manama, Sept. 2 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan affirmed the considerable importance of voluntary work in building the communities through effective contribution in sustainable development plans.
The minister explained that the Kingdom of Bahrain has always been at the forefront of countries that attach tremendous significance to voluntary work in the various fields.
The minister hailed the HH Shaikh Isa Bin Ali Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa's Voluntary Work Award for the Arab World that sheds light on brilliant examples of voluntary activism in the region. He praised His Highness’s patronage of this award for the ninth year consecutively that confirms His Highness’s keenness on supporting voluntary initiatives and continuity of effective non-governmental voluntary work, akin to the approach he learnt from His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Labour and Social Development’s strategy supports the work of civic society non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in the various towns and villages, praising the efforts of the Good Word Society in organizing the award and its associated activities.
Humaidan pointed out that the award provides opportunity to discover spectacular young Bahraini talents, which confirms the Kingdom’s featuring innovative youthful energies capable of effective contribution in building the society. He pointed out the need to increase community awareness regarding the importance of voluntary work in building and developing capacities, skills of individuals and civic non-governmental organizations.
He affirmed that achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs) requires really active cooperation between governments and NGOs in supporting voluntary projects in harmony with developmental plans aimed at the various social segments to properly fulfill society needs.
