HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad affirms Bahrain’s support to Saudi

Manama, Oct. 28 (BNA): Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Major General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for patronising the Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC 2019). HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, also BIDEC 2019 High Organising Committee chairman, made the statement as he addressed the opening of a conference which was held at the Four Seasons Hotel under the theme “Military Technologies in the Middle East”. The event was held under the patronage of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, in the presence of Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Major General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Alros present were Royal Guard Special Force Commander Lieutenant-Colonel HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, HRH Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Msaid Al-Saud, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Benyan, Saudi King’s Advisor, HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al-Khalifa, interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa, Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi and other senior officials. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed the importance of the Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC 2019) which combines technological strides and strategic thinking. He expressed pride at the ILEA award which was conferred on the Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC) as best expo in the Middle East, covering 10,000 square metres. Addressed the opening ceremony, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa condemned the terrorists attacks which targeted two Saudi Aramco-owned oil plants. He described the terrorist attacks on Saudi oil plans as a wake-up call for the international community to confront terrorists and the the countries harbouring and sponsoring this scourge, ensure the safety of maritime corridors. He reiterated Bahrain unwavering support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting any attempt to subvert its security and stability, backing all measures aimed at protecting its establishments and defending its vital national interests. Major General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa reiterated Bahrain’s firm resolve to continue supporting any action and initiative aimed at building a safe and prosperous environment in the region.
