HH Shaikh Nasser receives Horse Care Affairs Authority's board

Manama, Oct. 3 (BNA): Personal Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has affirmed His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s care for the affairs of horses in the kingdom, and direct follow-up on efforts being exerted to develop the system regulating their affairs, noting that horses represent an important part of the kingdom’s deep-rooted history.
HH Shaikh Nasser pointed out that Bahrain is among countries that take care of horses, and always seeks to upgrade their breeds and protect them.
HH Shaikh Nasser was speaking while receiving here today Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf, who introduced to him the Chairman of the of the Horse Care Affairs Authority, Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, and some board members.
HH Shaikh Nasser pointed out that HM the King’s directives to set up the board of directors of the Board of Directors of the Horse Care Affairs Authority is in line with the royal vision to develop the horse system in the kingdom, noting that the board will be tasked with devising the general policies related to taking care of horses and protecting them.
HH Shaikh Nasser expressed optimism in the ability of the Horse Care Affairs Authority’s Board of Directors to implement HM the King’s directives to improve the situation of horses in Bahrain and cooperate with international parties to build a stronger horse affairs system in the kingdom.
Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa extended, on behalf of the Horse Care Affairs Authority’s board members, sincere thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad for the precious royal trust bestowed upon them.
He also paid tribute to HH Shaikh Nasser for his great and direct interest in the procedures taken by the Horse Care Affairs Authority to improve the conditions of horses in the kingdom, adding that all board members will harness their accumulated expertise to and take care of their affairs of horses in Bahrain.
He asserted that board of directors would implement a number of plans and programmes that would contribute to building an integrated horse care system, which, he said, would yield positive results on the ground.
