Higher National Day Committee approves 'Spirit of the Union' as official theme of UAE's 42nd National Day celebrations

The 'Spirit of the Union' will remain the official theme of the UAE's 42nd National Day celebrations, the Higher National Day Committee announced today. The committee decided to keep the official logo for this year's nation-wide celebrations of the occasion which observed on the 2nd of December every year. It also decided to launch a website, a call centre in November for the occasion, and said their details will be announced later. The committee took these decisions at its first meeting for this year, chaired by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development. The theme of the unified spirit is derived from the vision and legacy of the UAE late founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who bestowed on the community a passion to continue to progress and modernise the nation. In his remarks at the meeting, Sheikh Nahyan said that all events, activities relating to the National Day celebrations will carry the official logo. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
