HM King’s condolences conveyed to player Mahdi Saad

Manama, Oct. 28 (BNA): HM the King’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has conveyed His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s condolences to national handball team player Mahdi Saad over the sad demise of his father. HH Shaikh Nasser met the player at the funeral ceremony, and conveyed HM the King’s condolences to him, praying to Allah the Almighty to rest the soul of the deceased in eternal peace, and to bless his family and relatives with patience and fortitude. While offering condolences to the deceased’s family, HH Shaikh Nasser lauded the honourable stance of player, Mahdi Saad, who was keen to take part in the final against South Korea and contribute to Bahrain’s qualification to the Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020), although he had been informed about his father’s death just before the match, which confirms the player’s desire to undertake his patriotic duty and set the best example of loyalty and sacrifice for the sake of the nation. Player, Mahdi Saad, extended heartfelt thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad and to HH Shaikh Nasser, stressing that HM the King’s fatherly words have reduced the pain, and that HH Shaikh Nasser’s visit is a source of pride.
