HM King arrives in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, March 11 (BNA)-- His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived today in Saudi Arabia at an invitation by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to attend "North Thunder" military show which is deemed the largest in the region’s history. Twenty Arab and Islamic countries and the Peninsula Shield forces are taking part in the drill held in King Khalid Military City in Hafar Al Batin, north of Saudi Arabia. HM the King was welcomed on arrival at King Saud Airbase in the eastern zone of King Khalid Military City in Hafar Al Batin by Saudi Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defence His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahraini Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shaikh Humood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, BDF senior officers and Saudi senior military and civil officials. HM the King went to Al Dhiyafa Mosque where he shook hands with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Arab and Islamic leaders and representatives of the participating countries in the "North Thunder" military exercise. They all performed Friday prayer. HM the King is accompanied by a delegation comprising his Personal Representative Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Royal Court Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, The Survey and Land Registration Bureau President Shaikh Salman bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Shaikh Hamad bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Interior Minister Lt. General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Advisor for Media Affairs Nabil bin Yaqoob Al Hamar, Defence Minister Lt. General Yussef bin Ahmed Al Jalahma, Royal Protocols President Major General Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Fadhala, HM the King’s Personal Secretary Hamad bin Ali Al Ka’abi, Bahraini Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shaikh Humood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and Sakhir Airbase Commander Air Vice Marshal Mohammed Bahussain Al-Musallam. HM the King left Bahrain earlier today for Saudi Arabia.
