HM King congratulated by National Guard President

Manama, Apr. 30 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received congratulations from National Guard President His Highness Lt-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa on the latest sports achievement by Representative to HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa who won the Iron Man North American Championship - under 49 age category in Texas. HH Shaikh Nasser topped the under-49 age category in nine hours and six minutes. Shaikh Mohammed said HH Shaikh Nasser's achievement embodies his determination to constantly promote Bahrain's international sports standing, highlighting the support of HM King Hamad of national youth and athletes. He pointed out that HH Shaikh Nasser has clearly contributed to putting the Kingdom on the world sports map and has enhanced the strong presence of Bahrain in the Iron Man races in which he demonstrated an advanced level, wishing HH Shaikh Nasser success in the upcoming competitions.
