HM King deputizes HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad to UAE

Manama, Apr. 12 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa deputized the First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports to attend a wedding reception, which was held in Al-Moshref Palace at Abu Dhabi under the patronage of the President of UAE HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, to celebrate the wedding of Shaikh Dr. Khalid bin Sultan bin Zayed Al-Nahyan to the daughter of Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region Shaikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed, in the participation of 108 newly-wed couples from the UAE. UAE’s Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and UAE’s Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces His Highness Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan were also present. HH Shaikh Khalid conveyed the congratulations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Shaikh Dr. Khalid bin Sultan bin Zayed Al- Nahyan and wishes of abundant health, happiness and prosperity. HH hailed the patronization of UAE’s president to the wedding which reflects his keenness to support Emarati youth, through holding mass weddings. HH Shaikh Khalid expressed his congratulations to Shaikh Dr. Khalid bin Sultan bin Zayed Al- Nahyan and affirmed the brotherly consolidated ties between Bahrain and UAE and wished him abundant health and happiness. For his part, Shaikh Dr. Khalid bin Sultan bin Zayed Al- Nahyan expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the King for his noble gesture and stressed the solid relations between the two countries and their people, and wished His Majesty abundant health and happiness. He also expressed thanks and appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for attending the wedding ceremony, which reflects the consolidated ties between the two countries’ leaderships and their people. Earlier, His Highness Shaikh Khalid arrived at Al-Bateen Airport and was received by UAE’s president advisor His Highness Shaikh Dr. Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan and Bahrain’s acting ambassador to UAE Shukri Al-Qais. The wedding ceremony was attended by a number of UAE’s senior officials.
