HM the King, Egyptian President hold talks session

Cairo, Apr 26 (BNA): HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi today held talks session, during which the historical fraternal relations and the latest regional and international developments were reviewed. Following the bilateral talk session, HM the King chaired the Bahraini side and the Egyptian President chaired the Egyptian side in the second talk session. HM the King thanked the Egyptian President for his kind invitation to visit Egypt to hold talks on reinforcing the Bahraini-Egyptian relations and discussing the developments witnessed by the Arab region. HM the King also expressed appreciation of the warm welcome and hospitality. The two sides reviewed ways to promote the deep rooted bilateral relations in political, economic, commercial, military, defence, education, cultural and tourism areas in the interest of the two countries and their people. HM the King reiterated Bahrain's supportive stances toward Egypt and its people. He described Egypt as the cornerstone of stability and security for the Arab nation for its strategic weight in the region, noting its pivotal role at the regional and international levels. HM the King hailed Egypt's historical role in defending Arab and Islamic causes and its supportive role for maintaining stability and countering terrorism and extremism in the region. HM the King commended the contributions of the Egyptian community to the comprehensive development process seen by various fields in Bahrain. HM the King wished Egypt durable security and stability and the Egyptian people further progress and prosperity. The talks session witnessed reviewing regional and international developments and topics of joint interest. The session also emphasized concerted efforts to combat terrorism and extremism to maintain peace, security and stability in the region. HM the King underscored Bahrain's support for Egypt in its counterterrorism efforts to maintain its security and stability. The two side stressed the importance of Arab solidarity to confront the threats and interference aimed at undermining security and stability in the Arab region. Egypt's President hailed the Bahraini firm stances and standing by Egypt under various circumstances, praising HM the king's keenness to further reinforce the relations between the two countries.
