HM King hails Bahrain-UAE historic ties

Manama, Mar. 19 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today received, at Al-Safriya Palace, outgoing UAE Ambassador to Bahrain Abdul Redha Abdulla Khoury, who was accompanied by his wife. HM the King hailed deep-rooted relations binding Bahrain and the UAE, lauding steadily-growing ties in all fields towards achieving common interests and meeting the two friendly people’s aspirations. He commended the standing and landmark strides achieved by the United Arab Emirates, led by UAE President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, UAE Deputy President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and UAE Armed Forces Deputy Supreme Commander HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan – praying to Allah the Almighty to protect the United Arab Emirates and its people and bless them with lasting security and stability. HM the King conferred the Bahrain Medal – First Class on the UAE ambassador in recognition of his dedicated efforts to strengthen solid fraternal relations between the two countries. The UAE ambassador expressed pride at the medal conferred on him, which, he said, represents an honour that epitomises the nature of fraternal relations binding the two countries. In a statement on this occasion, he hailed decades-long historic relations, common visions and unmatched cooperation between two countries which, he said, have political leverage and strategic geographic location and share wise, rational and balance foreign policy – paying tribute to HM the King and the UAE president. He hailed HM the King’s wise leadership, lauding Bahrain’s remarkable achievements in the prosperous era of reforms. He commended HM the King’s role in advocating amity, tolerance, openness and peaceful co-existence, as well as keenness on reaching out to his people, and ensuring them welfare, security and stability.
