HM King Hamad visits Russia's Army-2016 forum

Manama, Sep. 6 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today paid a visit to the International military-technical forum "Army-2016" held in Kubinka in the Moscow region, on the sidelines of his visit to the Russian Federation. HM the King was welcomed upon arrival at the Army-2016 forum by Russian Deputy Prime Minister for military-industrial complex, Dmitry Rogozin, and the Russian Defense Minister General Sergei Shoigu, and inspected the Russian Guard of Honour. HM the King, accompanied by the Russian officials, was briefed on the latest Russian military technology of the military equipment on exhibition, including the high-tech Russian air defence missile system (S-400) and the latest Russian T-14 Armata tanks. HM the King, after the tour, held official talks with the Russian Deputy Prime Minister on aspects of cooperation in the field of space science between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation. He stressed the importance of benefiting from the Russian expertise to meet Bahrain's future goals and aspirations in the field of space science. HM the King, in a statement at the conclusion of his visit to the Army-2016 forum, expressed appreciation of the gracious invitation from Russia's President Vladimir Putin, and paid tribute to the steadily progressing Bahraini-Russian relations marked by consultations, the exchange of views and constant coordination over regional and international issues. HM the King expressed delight in taking part in the major military forum that provided an opportunity to closely learn about Russia's latest defence military technology that reflects Russia's long experience in the field. HM the King stressed the significance of benefiting from the Russian military experience through the participation of Bahrain's military delegations in the major military forum. HM the King extended thanks to the Russian Defence Ministry for holding the forum that comprises Russia's leading military industrialization companies, wishing them success to meet their objectives.
