HM the King holds meeting with Kuwaiti Amir

Manama, Nov. 7. (BNA) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has welcomed the Kuwaiti Amir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah and his accompanying delegation on arrival at the Sakhir Air Base today. HM the King discussed with the Kuwaiti Amir the outstanding Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations, and ways to bolster them in various fields for the common interests of the two brotherly peoples. HM King Hamad expressed pride in the advanced level of the two countries’ fraternal relations, strengthened thanks to their leaders’ constant keenness on opening up new horizons of bilateral cooperation. The two leaders reviewed the GCC march, and underlined the two countries’ keenness on supporting joint GCC action to cement unity among member states, and enhance cooperation among them to achieve more progress and prosperity for their peoples. They also focused on the latest regional and global developments, and exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual concern. Bahrain’s Deputy Premier, Royal Court Minister, Interior Minister and Foreign Minister, Kuwait’s First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister, and the GCC Secretary-General attended the meeting. HM the King saw off the Kuwaiti Amir as he left the kingdom this evening, wrapping up his fraternal visit to the country.
