HM King invites Indonesian president to visit Bahrain

Jakarta, May 11 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has extended an official invitation to Indonesian President Joko Widodo to visit Bahrain. The Indonesian leader received Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA) Chairman and Honorary President of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Association His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, who conveyed the invitation. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa is on visit to Indonesia to attend the 2nd edition of the Mixed Martial Arts Championship (Brave), to be held today in Jakarta. He conveyed greetings from HM the King to President Widodo, wishing the Indonesian president abundant health and happiness and his friendly country and people further progress and prosperity. He handed over a letter from HM the King to the Indonesian leader, dealing bilateral relations and joint cooperation in all fields to achieve common interests. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa hailed strong bilateral relations binding Bahrain and Indonesia in all fields. He expressed delight at visiting Indonesia to attend the 2nd edition of the Mixed Martial Arts Championship (Brave), which was first launched in Manama, Bahrain. He thanked the Indonesian for his hospitality and support to the sport sector, wishing his country success in hosting the 18th Asian Games which will start on the 18th of August. President Widodo extended greetings to HM the King, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further development, progress and prosperity. The meeting was attended by Bahrain’s Ambassador to Indonesia Dr. Mohammed Ghassan Sheikho.
