HM King issues laws 4 and 5/2018, decree 11/2018

Manama, Feb. 20 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has ratified and issued Law 4/2018, Law 5/2018 and Decree 11/2018. Law 4/2018 stipulated the ratification of the Agreement between the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Government and the Government of the United States of America regarding international tax compliance and the enforcement of the foreign accounts tax compliance agreement (FATCA), signed in Manama on 18 January 2017, attached with this law, tasking the Prime Minister and each of the ministers according to their domain to implement the provisions of this law, which becomes effective from the next day following the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Law 5/2018 stipulated the ratification of the Amended Protocol of the Agreement between the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Government and the Government of the Philippines Republic regarding dual tax avoidance and prevention of tax evasion regarding income and capital taxation, signed in Manama on 13 April 2017, and attached with this law, tasking the Prime Minister and each of the ministers according to their domain to implement the provisions of this law, which becomes effective from the next day following the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Decree 11/2018 stipulated the establishment and organization of the rapid response National Ambulance Centre, affiliated to the Interior Minister, regulating its management, duties, powers, policies, standards, budget, expenditures, goals, and tasking the Prime Minister and each of the ministers according to their domain to implement the provisions of this decree, which becomes effective from the next day following the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
