HM King offers condolences

Manama, June 5 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa visited the majlis of late His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), in the presence of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. HM the King offered condolences to the deceased’s sons Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa and Shaikh Ibrahim bin Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa and to his grandchildren, praying to the Almighty to rest his soul in eternal peace and give his family solace and fortitude. HM the King has also received the Kuwaiti Amir’s envoy Shaikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, who was accompanied by Amiri Diwan Advisors Shaikh Mohammed Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Shaikh Fahd Saad Al-Abdulla Al-Salim Al-Sabah, as well as Shaikh Khalid Al-Badr Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah and Amiri Court Affairs Deputy Minister Shaikh Mohammed Abdulla Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. They conveyed to HM the King condolences from the Amir of Kuwait Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, Crown Prince Shaikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah and Prime Minister Shaikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al-Hamad Al Sabah. HM the King extended thanks and appreciation to the Amir of Kuwait for his kind and fraternal feelings which reflected deep-rooted historic relations binding the two countries. HM the King was offered condolences from members of the Royal Family, senior state officials, members of the diplomatic corps and citizens. HM the King paid tribute to the deceased, late HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa, hailing his dedication in serving the homeland, which made him pioneering national symbol and prominent Islamic personality. He commended his role in setting up the directorate of Islamic affairs, Quranic centres and developing Sharia and civil courts and endowments through his position as Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) President “The legacy of late HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa will remain engrave in national memory as a leading person who contributed to his country’s development and progress”, HM said. The deceased’s sons expressed deepest thanks and appreciation to HM the King for his kind feelings and heartfelt condolences, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect HM the King, bless him with abundant health and happiness and Bahrain and its people with further progress and prosperity.
