HM King ratifies, issues law amendments

Manama, May. 3 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Law 15/2018 on the amendment of some law provisions on societies, social and cultural clubs and private bodies working in the youth, sports and private associations field, issued by Law 21/1989. The amended Article 60 of the Law of Societies and Social and Cultural Clubs and the private entities operating in the field of youth, sports and private institutions promulgated by Legislative law 21/1989 stipulates that the candidate for membership on the board of directors of club or sports associations must not be member of any political association. Memberships in more than one club or sports associations are not allowed. The last paragraph of Article 4 of the law will be deleted. His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa also issued Law 16/2018 ratifying the agreement between Bahrain and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) on the privileges and immunities of the Organisation, issued at Hague on June 6 2017, and the facilities of the act.
