HM the King receives Arab League Secretary-General

Cairo, Apr 27 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, today in Cairo, received Arab League Secretary-General Dr. Nabeel Al-Arabi. HM the King pointed the vital role of Arab League in bolstering the joint Arab action and bringing together Arab leaders to face current challenges. HM the King paid tribute to Dr. Al-Arabi's efforts in coordinating Arab stances in various situations and his role in empowering the Arab League institutions to efficiently carry out their responsibilities amid the current developments sweeping across the Arab region that require redoubling efforts to maintain the Arab region's security and stability. HM the King expressed Bahrain's support for all initiatives and efforts target achieving peace, security and stability. Dr. Al-Arabi highlighted Bahrain's promotion for the Arab League to continue playing its role in defending Arab issues and reinforcing the joint Arab action march for attaining Arab goals. He hailed HM the King's initiative on the establishment of an Arab human rights court which reflects HM the King's support for human rights values. He presented to HM the King an overview of the Arab League's efforts put into dealing with the developments seen by the Arab region.
