HM King receives BACA President

Manama, Feb. 18 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Safriyah Palace today President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa who presented him with a copy of the Holy Quran with a luxurious cover engraved with Islamic motifs and Arab calligraphy, which was printed by BACA as part of "Muharraq the Capital of Islamic Culture 2018" functions. Shaikha Mai also presented HM the King with a book (Investing in Culture) which documents the sponsors' contributions to Investing in Culture project which was launched by BACA and resulted in the construction of many cultural landmarks, including mainly Bahrain National Theatre that was set up thanks to a full sponsorship of HM the King. HM the King lauded the valuable publications, praising the efforts exerted by Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities to preserve the national heritage and the kingdom's civilisational and cultural landmarks. He also commended the authority's efforts to enrich the cultural and literary movement, wishing Shaikha Mai and all the staff in the sector continuous success.
