HM King receives Commander of US Central Command

Manama, Feb. 8 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, received at Sakhir Palace today the Commander of the US Central Command, General Kenneth F. McKenzie, Jr. on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. HM welcomed him, commending deep-rooted historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the USA, which are based on mutual respect and coordination. He also lauded growing relations between the two friendly countries in light of mutual keenness to further develop them mainly in the military and defence fields. HM the King lauded the pivotal role of the US administration in fostering regional and international security and stability, in cooperation with its allies. He stressed Bahrain’s unflinching support to those efforts, praising the role of General Kenneth F. McKenzie, Jr in promoting the Bahraini-US cooperation in the military and defence field. HM the King discussed with the Commander of the US Central Command regional and international developments.
