HM King receives Egypt’s Speaker, hails strong bilateral ties

Manama, Feb. 14 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has affirmed his pride in the close, historical and brotherly relations between Bahrain and Egypt and their growing strength in light of their shared keenness to develop them in a way that enhances common interests. HM King Hamad was receiving Egypt’s Speaker of the House of Representatives Hanafy Ali El Gebaly who conveyed the warm greetings and of President Abdelfattah El Sisi and his best wishes of further progress and prosperity to Bahrain. HM the King hailed the visit by the Speaker and his delegation and asked them to convey his greetings to President El Sisi and best wishes of prosperity to the Egyptian people. HM King Hamad praised the long-standing cooperation between the two countries in all fields, particularly that they share a common history, and Egypt has been is a center of culture and civilization throughout history. HM the King stressed that President El Sisi is the one who developed these bilateral relations, and that the civilizational and development progress in Egypt was possible thanks to the efforts of the Egyptian President who is always keen on the progress of his country. HM King Hamad praised the role of the Egyptian community in Bahrain and its contributions to the Kingdom’s development process. HM also lauded the significance of fraternal visits that support strengthening relations and contribute to the exchange of legislative and parliamentary expertise and to the coordination of positions in various parliamentary forums. HM the King valued Egypt’s firm stances in supporting Bahrain, noting Egypt's pivotal role in defending the interests of the Arab nation. El Gebaly expressed gratitude to HM the King for the gracious welcome and congratulated him on the anniversary of the National Action Charter that developed national action and strengthened the democratic and parliamentary process in Bahrain. The Kingdom is held in high esteem by Egypt, he added. El Gebaly said that Bahrain’s continuous progress and development is thanks to the leadership of HM the King. He stressed that Egypt, under El-Sisi’s leadership, always stand by Bahrain in all situations and that the relations of the two countries are getting stronger and more advanced. El Gebaly expressed his appreciation and thanks for the care and attention accorded to the Egyptian community in Bahrain.
