HM King receives GCC Secretary-General

Manama, Apr.12 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received today at Al Sakhir Palace – in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister – GCC Secretary-General Dr. Nayef bin Falah Mubarak Al Hajraf, currently on visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, HM the King and Dr. Al Hajraf exchanged greetings marking the Holy month of Ramadan. The GCC Chief wished HM the King good health and happiness and the loyal people of Bahrain many happy returns and further progress and prosperity. HM the King and Dr. Al Hajraf discussed several issues, related to the GCC march to achieve the aspirations and ambitions of Gulf nationals. HM the King praised the GCC outstanding achievements at various levels and the high position it enjoys at the regional and international levels, lauding its active role in consolidating the pillars of security, peace and stability in the region and supporting efforts aimed at reaching peaceful solutions to its crises. He commended the made by Dr. Al Hajraf and all the personnel of the General Secretariat in advancing the council’s march and enhancing coordination, integration and interdependence between member states. The GCC Chief expressed thanks and gratitude to HM the King, hailing his support to common Gulf work in order to attain further achievements and consolidate cooperation and solidarity between member countries.
