HM King receives Saudi ambassador

Manama, Mar. 27 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received the Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain, Dr. Abdulla bin Abdulmalik Al-Sheikh, at the Al-Safriya Palace today. HM the King lauded the depth of the long-standing relations between the two sisterly kingdoms, hailing the steady growth of bilateral cooperation in various fields. HM King Hamad requested the Saudi Ambassador to convey his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the brotherly Saudi people, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect Saudi leadership and people, and to bless Saudi Arabia with everlasting security and stability. HM the King reiterated Bahrain’s firm supportive stance towards Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of King Salman, and backing of all the measures it takes to counter the repeated hostile acts carried out by the Iran-backed coup Houthi militias against it, stressing that such attacks contravene all divine religions, and violate international values and principles. HM King Hamad valued highly the leading role played by Saudi Arabia to ensure the security and stability of the region, describing it as a “strategic depth” for the Arab and Islamic nations. HM the King reviewed with the Saudi Ambassador issues related to the upcoming Arab Summit, set to be hosted by Saudi Arabia in April, wishing the Summit every success in strengthening joint Arab action.
