HM King receives two invitations from Saudi monarch

Manama, Apr. 4 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received two letters from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.
The first letter was an invitation to Bahrain to attend the 29th Arab Summit to be hosted by Saudi Arabia. The second one was an invitation to HM the King to attend the closing ceremony of the Joint Gulf Shield-1, which will be held next month in the Eastern Province with the participation of a number of units of Bahrain Defence Force.
Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmalik Al Shaikh, delivered the two letters as he was received today by HM the King at Sakhir Palace.
HM the King welcomed the Saudi monarch’s invitations, wishing the Arab Summit success in the interest of the joint Arab action.
HM the King lauded the Saudi role in promoting the Arab and Islamic solidarity and its endeavour to maintain security and stability in the region.
HM the King highlighted the depth of the longstanding fraternal relations between the two kingdoms based on solid cooperation and coordination at various levels.
HM the King took pride in the BDF participation in the joint military exercise, which expresses Bahrain’s belief that constant military cooperation is a way to counter current challenges.
