HM the King reiterates Bahrain's unwavering support to Yemen

Manama, Mar. 16 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who is on a visit to the Kingdom. An official reception ceremony was held in honour of President Hadi upon his arrival at the Gudaibiya Palace. HM King Hamad and President Hadi headed to the Podium of Honour and the national anthems of the two countries were played. The Yemeni President greeted the members of the Bahraini delegation, and HM King Hamad greeted the official delegation accompanying President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi. Then HM King Hamad and President Hadi held a meeting, in the presence of the two countries' delegations. They reviewed the solid bilateral relations and ways to expand areas of joint cooperation to serve the common interests of the two brotherly peoples. HM the King welcomed the Yemeni President, noting that his visit to Bahrain embodies the depth of the long-standing Bahraini-Yemeni relations and the solid fraternal ties binding their peoples throughout history. HM the King lauded the dedicated efforts exerted by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi and his government to achieve security and stability in brotherly Yemen. HM King Hamad reiterated Bahrain's principled stance in support of Yemen and its people, and support of its Legitimacy in order to restore security and stability, maintain its sovereignty, unity and Arab identity and achieve the Yemeni people's aspirations for security, stability and progress. The Kingdom of Bahrain's continuous participation in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen stems from its belief in the importance of Arab solidarity and cooperation to protect the Arab region and its peoples against foreign ambitions and interference, HM the King said. HM King Hamad wished brotherly Yemen and people lasting progress, peace, security and stability so as to continue its development and progress march. HM the King affirmed the kingdom's unwavering support to brotherly Yemen in all fields. The Yemeni President updated HM the King about the latest political and military developments in his country, and highlighted the on-going efforts to reinforce security and stability across the country in cooperation and collaboration with the Arab Coalition forces, as well as the humanitarian and relief aid delivered to the Yemeni citizens. President Hadi expressed utmost thanks, appreciation and gratitude to HM King Hamad for the gracious welcome and hospitality accorded to him and his accompanying delegation, lauding the Kingdom's "honourable" supportive stances towards his country, as well as its support to efforts to restore Legitimacy, security and stability, and its delivery of humanitarian assistance to the Yemeni citizens. He prayed to Allah Almighty to protect Bahrain and its kind people, and bless it with lasting security and progress, under the leadership of HM King Hamad. HM King Hamad hosted a lunch banquet in honour of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi and his accompanying delegation. A convoy of honour, led by the Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, was formed to accompany the Yemeni President.
