HM King visits Highclere Castle and Gardens

London, May 13 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa visited today Highclere Castle and Gardens where he was welcomed by His Royal Highness Prince Edward and Countess Sophie of Wessex. HM the King toured the castle which was re-built by the Carnarvon family and listened to a briefing by HRH Prince Edward on its history that goes back to 1838. HM the King praised the castle and its architectural design, lauding the efforts of HRH Prince Edward in preserving the historical landmark for researchers. He also thanked HRH Prince Edward and Countess Sophie of Wessex for the good welcome. HM King Hamad hailed strong relations between the two royal families which are based on mutual respect and coordination in various fields.
