HM King's visit to Egypt hailed

Manama, Apr. 28 (BNA): The Shura Council's Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh hailed the historic visit of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Egypt as part of His Majesty's policy on Arab ties, which consolidates the kingdom's Arab and regional relations. Al Saleh commended the cooperation ties in various fields, as the Royal visit comes to add new clues to the depth of bonds between the two countries and their peoples. He lauded the positive outcomes of Bahrain-Egypt Summit between HM the King and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. The official talks focused on bilateral ties, regional developments fronting the Arab and Islamic nations, especially in view of escalating wave of terrorism and external interferences in the internal affairs of Arab countries, including hostile media campaigns aimed to defame the image of Arabs and Muslim worldwide. He said the Shura Council affirms the importance of cooperation and coordination agreements signed between the two sides in all fields, including agreements in the military, diplomatic, economic, business and cultural fields. Al Saleh hailed His Majesty's visiting, and meeting, with the Grand Imam of Al Azhar Al Sharif Dr. Ahmed Al Tayyeb and His Holiness Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and the Patriarch of the Patriarch of the See of St. Mark at the Coptic Orthodox Church, which reflects the Kingdom's openness to religions and respecting of religious beliefs, which is a plausible kind gesture from His Majesty the King. He also lauded the meetings convened by His Majesty the King with Arab ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Egypt, in addition to His Majesty's meeting with Arab League (AL)'s Secretary-General Dr. Nabil Al Arabi. The Shura Council's chairman expressed his and Shura Councilors' appreciation of the efforts and initiatives of His Majesty the King in consolidating the bonds of Arab cooperation and His Majesty's continuous follow up of all latest Arab and Islamic developments by communicating with Their Majesties, Highnesses and Excellences the leaders of Arab counties to discuss major Arab issues.
