House Speaker Setya Novanto Transfered To KPK Detention House

JAKARTA, Nov 20 (Antara) - Indonesia's anti-graft agency KPK has transferred the House Speaker Setya Novanto as a suspect for allegedly being involved in the electronic identification card procurement corruption case, to the KPK's detention house. Novanto arrived at the KPK building in Jakarta on Sunday at about 11.35 p.m. Western Indonesian Standard Time or WIB, after being treated at the RSCM hospital following his transfer from the Medika Permata Hijau hospital, where he was initially treated after a car incident Thursday night in South Jakarta, Antara learned here. Setya Novanto (Setnov), the Golkar Party chairman wore an orange vest and was brought in a wheelchair when he got off the car that took him from the RSCM hospital. Setnov did not wave or say anything when taken into the KPK building. In the meantime, the RSCM Director Soejono said the results of a series of health checks showed that Setnov improved. He did not need hospitalization. "(From) Saturday to Sunday, a series of medical interview and physical examination and some investigations are conducted to deduce about the state of health, and provide treatment as needed," Soejono told the press on Sunday night.
