Housing minister receives U.S ambassador

Manama, Apr. 15 (BNA): Housing Minister, Bassim bin Yaqoob Al-Hamar, received here today the newly-appointed U.S Ambassador to Bahrain, Justin Siberell. The minister wished the ambassador every success in enhancing relations between the two friendly countries. Al-Hamar highlighted the Housing Ministry’s efforts to provide housing services to the citizens since the 1960s, as well as the housing achievements during the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The minister also shed light on the projects of new cities being implemented by the Housing Ministry under eth umbrella of the Government Action Plan for the sake of meeting the citizens’ housing needs. He also highlighted the Housing Ministry’s experience in activating partnership with the private sector, noting that such experience has achieved its goals in a short period of time, which has motivated the Ministry to expand such partnership. The U.S ambassador expressed pleasure at representing his country in Bahrain, and pride in the good bilateral relations, wishing the Bahraini-U.S ties further progress.
