HRH CP meets President of the Republic of Yemen

Manama, Mar 17 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met the President of the Republic of Yemen Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, at Shaikh Hamad Palace in Gudaibiya. During the meeting, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, has consistently supported and promoted the principles of peace, justice and legitimacy. His Royal Highness went on to note that this longstanding commitment is reflected through the Kingdom’s participation in Operations Decisive Storm and Renewal of Hope, which support the legitimate government of Yemen and aim to restore security and stability to the country. During his welcoming remarks, His Royal Highness praised the historic bilateral ties that exist between Bahrain and Yemen, and emphasised the importance of achieving long-term security within Yemen in order to provide stability and prosperity for the country’s citizens. In response, President Hadi expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, and expressed appreciation to the Kingdom for its continued support. The President further stressed that Yemen and its people will long-remember Bahrain’s wide-ranging efforts to help restore national security and stability within Yemen, as well as the Kingdom’s substantial humanitarian assistance provided to Yemeni citizens. The Deputy Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khaled bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
