HRH Crown Prince congratulates Global Reciter award winner

Manama, Apr.25 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister sent a cable of congratulations to the holy Quran Reciter, Ali Salah Omar, after winning the Global Reciter Award for the Tajweed Recitation (Al-Qari Al-Mojawed), and for clinching the first place in the five phases of the third edition of the Bahrain International Quran Recitation Competition (Global Reciter). The third International Quran Recitation Competition was held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa from April 22 to 25, with the participation of 9,200 contestants from 81 countries. HRH the Crown Prince expressed pride in the honourable exploit which, he said, adds to Bahrainis’ rich record of landmark achievements in various holy Quran competitions. He commended the efforts exerted by reciter Ali Salah Omar to win the prestigious award well-deservedly, wishing him further success.
