HRH the Crown Prince hosts iftar banquet for MOI senior officers

Manama, May 29 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today held an iftar banquet for senior officers and officials from the Ministry of Interior (MOI) at the Public Security Officers’ Club. HRH the Crown Prince was welcomed to the iftar banquet by the Minister of Interior, His Excellency Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid Bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa. HRH the Crown Prince expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Kingdom’s security forces in protecting Bahrain’s citizens, noting that the Kingdom’s security is an important foundation of the comprehensive development programme led by HM King Hamad. HRH the Crown Prince noted the MOI’s role in safeguarding the rule of law, and the many sacrifices made by security personnel in the service of their nation. HRH the Crown Prince further noted the many initiatives and programmes being implemented by the MOI, which further strengthen the concept of national identity and help to preserve the Kingdom’s strong social fabric. HRH the Crown Prince exchanged Ramadan greetings with HE the Minister of Interior and senior officers, honoured the sacrifices made by MOI security personnel, and commemorated the Kingdom’s fallen servicemen who sacrificed their lives for the protection of Bahrain and its citizens. On behalf of the MOI, HE the Minister of Interior expressed his gratitude for His Royal Highness’ support to the Kingdom’s security forces, and wished Bahrain further prosperity under the leadership of HM the King. HE the Minister of Interior further stressed that MOI personnel will continue to loyally serve their nation and pursue the highest standards of excellence in their work in order to effectively maintain the safety and security of the Kingdom. HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa also attended the Iftar banquet.
