HRH Crown Prince meets third batch of FDPM Fellowship

Manama, Mar. 20 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister received the third batch of the FDPM Fellowship.
His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of continuing to support various youth development initiatives and programmes that aim at investing in exceptional young talent. His Royal Highness underscored the vital role such programmes play in building critical leadership skills, noting that these will work to advance the Kingdom’s sustainable development.
His Royal Highness emphasised that in line with His Majesty King Hamad’s directives, the Kingdom remains committed to investing in its youth through the development of skills and capabilities, and that this will serve as the engine for Bahrain’s long-term advancement.
His Royal Highness was then presented with a briefing on the Fellows’ experiences working on various programmes, projects and initiatives. In this regard, His Royal Highness praised their commitment and dedication to fulfil and exceed the requirements of the programme.
His Royal Highness went on to highlight the importance of programmes such as the FDPM Fellowship, emphasising that the improvement of management and leadership skills among young government employees will help to increase government performance by strengthening competitiveness and productivity.
His Royal Highness then praised the efforts of those who developed the FDPM Fellowship, noting its many significant achievements, in alignment with government objectives since its inception.
For their part, the FDPM Fellows expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness and for his continued support to the FDPM Fellowship.
The FDPM Fellows cited their unique experiences throughout the programme, and how it has helped advance their professional skills. The Fellows went on to highlight their enthusiasm in taking their newly acquired skills back to their places of work, noting the contributions they can make to the Kingdom’s development.
The FDPM Fellowship is considered an important opportunity for all young Government employees to better understand local, regional, and global changes. Through an extensive series of training and guidance courses as well as working alongside senior government officials and decision makers, the programme focuses on the refinement of key skills and capabilities that will help improve government performance.
