HRH Crown Prince receives BCCI’s new Board of Directors

Manama, Mar. 27 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today received the new Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), headed by Chairman Sameer Abdulla Ahmed Nass, at Gudaibiya Palace. During the meeting, His Royal Highness congratulated the BCCI’s new chairman and board members on their recent election and highlighted that the success of the private sector is closely linked to the success of the country. His Royal Highness emphasised the government’s focus on redefining the role of the public sector from the primary engine of economic growth into a private sector enabler and regulator. His Royal Highness went on to add that this private sector-led economic model aims to guarantee sustainable economic development as well as the delivery of better opportunities for Bahrain’s citizens. His Royal Highness and the BCCI Board of Directors discussed a range of topics related to supporting the private sector. His Royal Highness stressed the importance of continuing to provide small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with the support they need to be competitive and transform innovative ideas into successful projects that generate economic growth. His Royal Highness concluded by noting that, in line with His Majesty the King’s comprehensive development programme, the Kingdom continues to introduce economic initiatives centred around the principles of suitability, competiveness, and fairness that underpin Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030. The BCCI Chairman expressed his appreciation for His Royal Highness’ ongoing support to the chamber, and stressed the BCCI’s commitment to continue working alongside the business community to generate economic growth.
