HRH Crown Prince visits the BDF General Command

Manama, Feb. 18 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today visited the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF). During the visit, His Royal Highness received a briefing on military upgrades and skills development programmes intended to increase operational capabilities and experience His Royal Highness emphasised the important role the BDF plays in safeguarding the Kingdom’s security and stability, and noted His Majesty the King’s continued support for the BDF’s operational development efforts His Royal Highness went on to highlight the participation of BDF personnel, led by the Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, in specialised military programmes across the region, noting that their wide-ranging and valued contributions reflect the BDF’s commitment to upholding regional security. His Royal Highness was received by His Excellency Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, His Excellency Lieutenant General Yousif bin Ahmed Al Jalahma, Minister of Defence Affairs, His Excellency Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqer Al Noaimi, the BDF’s Chief of Staff, and a number of senior BDF officers.
