HRH the Deputy King tours Bahrain FinTech Bay

Manama, Sept. 16 (BNA): The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today toured Bahrain FinTech Bay (BFB), the leading FinTech Hub in the Middle East, at Arcapita Building. Upon arrival, HRH the Deputy King was briefed on BFB initiatives, which include incubators to support smart financial technology, acceleration and educational programmes and collaborative platforms, as well as the BFB’s role in promoting Bahrain’s standing as a leading FinTech centre. HRH the Deputy King highlighted the fundamental role that innovation and modern technologies play in the Kingdom’s efforts to deliver sustainable and long-term economic growth. HRH the Deputy King highlighted that the expansion of the Kingdom’s FinTech sector is developing Bahrain’s knowledge base and generating new growth opportunities for entrepreneurs. HRH the Deputy King affirmed that Bahrain’s financial institutions are supported by a robust regulatory and strategic framework designed to enhance development opportunities for citizens. HRH concluded by praising the efforts made to promote BFB as the leading FinTech hub in the Middle East and home to some of the world’s most high profile international financial services providers and leading technology companies. The Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and senior EDB officials also attended the tour.
