HRH Premier congratulated on Flame of Peace Award

Manama, Apr. 1 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has received a cable from the Head of the National Action Charter Society Political Bureau Ahmed Juma'a on being granted the "Flame of Peace Award" by the Association for the Furtherance of Peace, in tribute to his outstanding role in promoting humanitarian work, boosting relations among nations and strengthening the pillars of regional and global security. Ahmed Juma’a extended, on behalf of the National Action Charter Society’s Political Bureau, Secretariat-General and affiliates, sincere congratulations to HRH Premier on the global honouring bestowed on him during a special ceremony held recently in Bahrain. He stressed that the prestigious award, the first of its kind to be granted to an Arab Prime Minister, is a source of pride for Bahrain and its people. He described the award as a tribute to HRH the Premier for his efforts to fast-track development in Bahrain and boost the kingdom's standing in international human development reports. He added the award is also an assertion of HRH the Prime Minister's key role in bringing about Bahrain's achievements and consolidating its pioneering status at the international level through achieving the Millennium Development Goals and adopting policies that ensure peaceful co-existence for minorities in the kingdom as a means to enhance rapprochement among peoples and promoting the culture of peace. He wished HRH Premier abundant good health and happiness.
