HRH Premier congratulated by SCIA

Manama, Mar.1 (BNA): The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) has extended sincere congratulations to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on receiving the "Flame of Peace" Award, in recognition of his crucial international role in boosting humanitarian work, promoting global peace, spreading the peaceful culture of co-existence and strengthening relations among countries. During its regular session today, held under the chairmanship of its President Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa, in the presence of Deputy President Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, the SCIA affirmed that the international award is an honour for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people and highlights the tireless efforts and leading initiatives adopted by the government, under the leadership of HRH Premier. SCIA condemned calls to close some mosques for political purposes and stressed the importance of protecting places of worship from exploitation, affirming that mosques must serve their religious purposes only. It urged protecting religious platforms from hate and politicised religious speeches. It called for disseminating Islamic values and denouncing terrorism and sectarianism.
