HRH Premier inaugurates Prince Saud Al-Faisal Avenue

Manama, Feb. 28 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today inaugurated the naming of a main avenue in Juffair, Manama, after the late HRH Prince Saud Al-Faisal following directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Makkah Governor HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies HRH Prince Turki Al-Faisal, senior state officials, MPs, diplomatic corps and press and media personnel attended.
HRH Premier asserted that the words are not sufficient to list the qualities and achievements of the late HRH Prince Saud Al-Faisal, stressing that he defended his country and Nation courageously and was a true model of giving and national dedication, and therefore deserved all love and respect.
The Bahraini people will never forget the late Prince's historic and honourable stances in support of Bahrain and in defence of its security and stability at all regional and global gatherings, HRH Premier said.
He affirmed that the Kingdom's naming of one of the Capital Mana's main avenue after the late HRH Prince Saud Al-Faisal is a token of gratitude to him for his support and courage in defending its interests under all circumstances.
"The Kingdom of Bahrain's relationship with the late HRH Prince Saud Al-Faisal embodies a state of mutual love for a man who used his outstanding diplomatic capabilities to be the voice of the Right, and therefore he deserves to have his memory recorded in the minds of Bahrainis forever," he added.
HRH the Prime Minister asserted that the late Prince Saud had carried out the Saud leadership's directives honestly while defending the just causes of the Arab and Islamic nations.
HRH the Prime Minister lauded the depth of the fraternal Bahraini-Saudi relations and cooperation in light of the support and directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Saudi Arabia has always been the protective shield of the Arab and Islamic nations, HRH Premier said, adding that Saudi its historic stances in supporting the Right and Justice had gained it respect of everyone.
HRH Premier recalled with appreciation Saudi Arabia's stances in support of Bahrain's security and stability, noting that the citizens of Bahrain and those of the Arab and Islamic nations value highly Saudi Arabia's strenuous efforts in defending the Arab Nation's dignity, safety, territorial integrity and sovereignty.
He wished Saudi Arabia further progress and prosperity under its leadership.
HRH Prime Minister toured, alongside those present, the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Avenue in Juffuair, and highlighted the importance of the new road in easing traffic.
Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa expressing pride in naming a major avenue after the late HRH Prince Saud Al-Faisal in recognition of his pivotal role in strengthening bilateral relations.
The gesture reflects the love of the Bahraini leadership, government and people for the late Prince, noting that his honourable stances will be recorded in history.
Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa expressed pride in naming the avenue after the late HRH Prince Saud Al Faisal, stressed that deceased enjoys a distinguished status in the hearts of all Bahrainis for serving his country, GCC countries, Arab and Islamic countries and the whole world.
He highlighted the late Prince's honourable stances towards Bahrain's stability and security in all circumstances and at all gatherings across the world.
He added that the kingdom had honoured HRH Prince Saud's father the late King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in 1976 through naming one of Manama's most vital highways after him.
HRH the Prime Minister hosted a lunch banquet in honour of the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Makkah Governor HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies HRH Prince Turki Al-Faisal, in the presence of ministers and senior state officials.
