HRH Premier issues Edict 24/2016

Manama, Apr. 21 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister issued Edict 24/2016 approving the list of assistive medical professions. The edict approved the list of auxiliary medical professions attached to the edit as per clause One thereof provided that licensure to carry out any of these professions and its regulatory codes shall be subject to Law Decree 2/1987 regarding other than physicians' and pharmacists' practicing ancillary medical professions. The Minister of Health and the President of the Supreme Council for Health – each in his/her respective domain – shall implement the provisions of this edict which becomes effective from the day following the date of its publishing in the Official Gazette. The edict covers a list of 27 helping medical professions.
