HRH Premier lauds MPs' national role

Manama, Mar. 14 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of focusing on efforts to maximize national accomplishments and urged for refrainment from preoccupation with any issues which do not concern national, Arabian Gulf or pan-Arab interest. His Royal Highness called to supporting all Gulf regional effort that contribute to the revival of the Arab entity to achieve the peoples aspiration for unity, affirming the Kingdom of Bahrain's keenness under the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on supporting collective Arab and Islamic efforts to preserve the united Arab entity and prevent meddling in its internal affairs. His Royal Highness made these remarks as he received Speaker Ahmed bin Ebrahim Al Mulla alongside with Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and several Members of the Council of Representatives and the Shura Council, in the presence of former speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani. During the audience His Royal Highness cited the constantly developing cooperation between the executive and the legislature branches emanating from the mutual commitment of members of both branches to furthering the horizons of cooperation, lauding the patriotic role of MPs in representing their constituents in the people's elected parliament. His Royal Highness the Prime Minister appreciated the role of the Council of Representatives in legislation and monitoring, urging MPs to continue their national responsibility regardless of those who cannot see the bright image of Bahrain's democratic parliamentary experience.
