HRH Premier praises Arab Summit

Manama, Apr. 15 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today senior officials, the intelligentsia, media figures, journalists and citizens and discussed with them a number of local issues. He stressed that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, will maintain its pioneering regional and international status and head into a phase of more growth and development. He underlined the government’s unflinching keenness to achieve the aspirations of HM the King and the Bahraini people by improving citizens’ welfare and carrying out more development projects. HRH the Prime Minister praised the strong texture characterising the Bahraini community, underscoring keenness on reaching out to citizens and catering for their needs. He lauded the one-family spirit binding the Bahraini people and their cohesion which, he said, have always helped overcome challenges aimed at driving wedges and targeting national unity. He asserted that the Bahraini people’s patriotic stances will remain cherished for their success in deterring dangers and thwarting plots. HRH the Premier commended the kingdom’s rich history and civilisation, urging to preserve it to remain witness to the glory of Bahrain and an inspirational source for the posterity. He hailed contribution of journalists and media persons to the kingdom’s development march and their efforts in raising national awareness regarding various issues.  "The current regional challenges increase our strength and determination to preserve national security and stability," HRH the Prime Minister affirmed, urging to hold on to national unity to shape a more prosperous future. He discussed with the audience regional and international issues, praising the Arab Summit in Dhahran. He asserted that HM the King’s presidency of Bahrain’s delegation to the summit clearly shows the kingdom’s support to all efforts made to bolster Arab solidarity and unity against ambient challenges. He underscored the importance of the summit, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in fostering cooperation between the Arab countries and boosting efforts to maintain regional security and stability and face current challenges.
