HRH Premier praises Kuwaiti investments in Bahrain

Manama, Mar. 15 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman has affirmed that the economic situation in the region is favourable for the success of all investments, but some sides seek to undermine the region's economy and development through attempts to subvert its security and stability. He called for the need to focus on joint investments that ensure the steady growth of the development process to achieve the interests of the region's countries and welfare of their peoples. While receiving at the Gudaibiya Palace today the board chairman of the Kuwait Finance House (KFH) Hamad Abdulmohsen Al-Marzouq, HRH Premier expressed pride in the leading role played by KFH in implementing many economic development projects in Bahrain, lauding the bank's outstanding planning and implementation competence. HRH the Prime Minister affirmed that the financial and banking sector enjoys all forms of support and care within an atmosphere of freedom which, he said, has increased the sector's contributions to the national economy and enabled it to generate job opportunities for the citizens. He pointed out that all plans and programmes adopted by the government to upgrade the private sector are aimed at maintaining the kingdom's prestigious regional and global status as an outstanding financial hub. HRH the Prime Minister praised the depth of the Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations in various fields, stressing that those distinguished bilateral ties, based on mutual love and common destiny, have been strengthened throughout history. He affirmed that the Kuwaiti investments in Bahrain is among the aspects of the advanced level of bilateral cooperation, noting that Bahrain always welcomes Kuwaiti investments and is keen on ensuring their success. KFH Board Chairman expressed the bank's appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his constant support, crediting him for its good results in Bahrain. He affirmed the bank's keenness on expanding its operations in the Kingdom thanks to perfect investment atmosphere and modern laws.
