HRH Premier praises legislative role

Manama, Aug. 1 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has called for taking a closer look at the tragic situation sweeping across some countries and how divergences among their peoples and the foreign interference in their domestic affairs have created a state of chaos that has repulsed citizens. HRH Prime Minister, who received Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh and a number of members of Shura and Executive councils, added that some Arab countries lived disastrous conditions that should serve as lessons and examples for those running after some illusions and fantasies presented by policies that do not want these countries to progress. These people should see with their own eyes how the features of the promised future have turned into ruin, destruction and displacement. HRH Prime Minister underlined the importance of unifying stances amid the fast-moving events that are impacting the region's security and development in the future, and stressed that Arab cooperation and integration, which used to be an option, have now become the best way to confront challenges. HRH Prime Minister lauded the patriotic role of the legislative branch, noting that government and parliamentary actions complement each other and that both aim at bringing prosperity and wellbeing to the homeland. HRH Prime Minister said that the Kingdom of Bahrain has become an education hub and a therapeutic destination thanks to the successful government policies. He added there is a need to build upon successes made in these promising areas to accomplish more achievements in other fields as well. “We endeavour to keep Bahrain progressing in various areas, including those that offer recreational opportunities to Bahraini families,” HRH Prince Khalifa said. HRH Prime Minister called for exercising caution and vigilance against attempts to undermine the national achievements and development, stressing that the one-family spirit and robust bonds strengthen national unity and remain the best way to face attempts to tear at the strong social fabric.
